About the Role: This role involves engaging with customers on lifecycle and performance projects. You will conduct systems engineering using a transdisciplinary and integrated approach to ensure the successful realisation, utilisation, and retirement of engineered systems, applying systems principles, concepts, and scientific, technological, and management methodologies. You will be instrumental in supporting our customers, offering remote product guidance, and contributing to a knowledge repository for our field service team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide service and maintenance for surveillance solutions for Ports, Coastal areas, and offshore wind parks.
- Offer technical support and on-call/remote services.
- Ensure proper preparation and execution of assigned work, meeting performance expectations.
- Generate service reports, update drawings, cable information databases, and relevant technical documents.
- Support our sales department with technical inquiries.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with colleagues and customers.
- Undertake all duties with a strong commitment to KONGSBERG Corporate Values and Workplace Health and Safety framework and requirements.
- Travel as required, both within Australia and internationally, to fulfil role requirements.
- Perform other duties as relevant to organisational needs and within the technical competency of the position.
About You:
- Hold an Engineering degree in electrical, electronic, or software engineering, with either a minor in systems engineering or other complementary systems engineering qualification or experience.
- Possess full working rights in Australia.
- Hold an Australian Security Clearance, or be willing to obtain one.
Experience:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in system engineering practices within the marine environment.
- Experience with most aspects of the systems development life cycle, including requirements, design, integration, test, and verification.
- Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams.
Skills:
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with Windows (Server, Workstation), Databases (MS SQL), VMware, Azure, Networking, and Security.
- Experience with hardware installation of Radar and VHF.
- Proficiency with Linux.
