Role Purpose
We are seeking a Tax Accountant to join our Melbourne-based Finance team. Reporting to the Group Head of Tax, you will support Australian and global tax compliance and reporting obligations, while contributing to the modernisation and enhancement of tax processes across the business.
Key Accountabilities
This is an opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with process improvement, automation, and data-driven solutions.
- Support Australian tax compliance requirements, including income tax, GST, and Fringe Benefits Tax obligations.
- Prepare monthly tax calculations and support tax reporting across the global group.
- Review tax disclosures and tax computations within statutory financial statements.
- Assist with withholding tax obligations and foreign tax offset processes.
- Partner with Finance stakeholders to provide practical tax advice and support.
- Contribute to automation, standardisation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Leverage technology, analytics, and finance systems to improve efficiency and reporting quality.
- Support audits, tax authority requests, and governance activities.

What You'll Bring
- 2+ years' experience in tax compliance within a corporate environment or Big 4 Chartered Accounting firm.
- Sound knowledge of Australian tax legislation.
- Experience with tax effect accounting and tax reporting.
- Degree qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Advanced Excel capability and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- A continuous improvement mindset and interest in leveraging technology and automation.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Oracle Fusion or similar ERP systems.
- Exposure to Power BI, Power Query, or workflow automation tools.
- Experience working in a multinational environment.
- Involvement in finance transformation or process improvement initiatives.
