Allure Consulting is seeking a business savvy and technically proficient Tax Associate or Partner to join and lead a growing tax team in Sydney, NSW. This is a full-time, onsite position.

About the Firm: Our client is a nationally recognised accounting firm boasting over 1000 professional staff and 12 Tax Partners across their east coast offices. Beyond their Private Clients & Audit group, they maintain a dedicated corporate tax team serving a Sydney-based client portfolio generating approximately $2 million in fees. This client base includes ultra-high-net-worth individuals, wealthy family businesses, privately held companies, and large corporates (SGE subsidiaries) with turnovers up to $1 billion per annum, spanning diverse industries.

The Role: Due to significant growth within the tax team, we are looking for an individual to lead a team of professionals and deliver on client needs. The role involves a blend of work for private clients, encompassing domestic and international tax functions, including the management of inbound and outbound issues. The tax function primarily focuses on providing tax advice and consulting to clients, with compliance work handled by a separate business unit.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver on client needs within a dynamic client base.
• Manage domestic and international tax functions, including inbound and outbound issues.
• Provide tax advice and consulting to clients.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 12 years of corporate and international tax experience within a Big 4 or mid-tier firm.
• Demonstrated experience in managing international tax issues for inbound and outbound businesses.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and provide solutions to arising issues.
• Proven business development capabilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and guide a team of professionals.
• A cohesive attitude towards work-life balance.
