Job Description
The Melbourne Highways team at AECOM is delivering critical transport infrastructure projects in Victoria, influencing how people and communities connect across the state and beyond. As a senior leader within our ANZ Transport business, you will integrate technical excellence, project leadership, client relationship management, and strategic growth to advance our Highways team. You will collaborate with leading industry professionals, contribute to major project pursuits, mentor emerging leaders, and shape the direction of transport infrastructure in Victoria and Australia.
How you'll make a difference
- Lead the delivery of complex highways and transport infrastructure projects throughout Victoria and ANZ.
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction to multidisciplinary project teams.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key clients, including the Victorian Department of Transport and Planning, Major Road Projects Victoria, local government, and private sector entities.
- Identify and spearhead business development opportunities, strategic pursuits, and work-winning initiatives.
- Mentor, develop, and inspire technical and project delivery teams across the business.
- Contribute to the growth, capability, and long-term strategy of the Highways business.
- Collaborate with leaders across Australia and New Zealand to drive innovation, best practice, and project excellence.
- Represent AECOM in the market through industry engagement, client relationships, and thought leadership.
Qualifications
The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but we encourage applications even if you do not meet every requirement.
- Extensive experience delivering highways, roads, and transport infrastructure projects within a consulting environment.
- Strong relationships and experience working with Victorian transport clients.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated success in client relationship management, business development, and work winning.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing project performance and contributing to business growth.
- Recognised technical expertise within the highways and transport sector.
- Chartered status and/or RPEV is highly regarded.
- A passion for mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
