They are seeking a skilled Toolmaker Designer with robust SolidWorks proficiency to contribute to the design and advancement of high-performance tooling. This is a temporary contract.

This position is suited to an individual who possesses both practical toolmaking expertise and advanced 3D CAD design capabilities. Your responsibilities will include the design and development of tooling solutions to enhance efficient, high-quality production throughout the company's operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design jigs, fixtures, moulds, and tooling utilising SolidWorks.
• Interpret engineering drawings and product specifications.
• Collaborate with production teams, machinists, and engineers to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
• Enhance and optimise existing tooling for improved efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Produce detailed drawings and documentation for manufacturing purposes.
• Address tooling-related issues and implement design enhancements.
• Support prototype development and new product introductions.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Significant SolidWorks experience is critical.
• Demonstrated experience in toolmaking and tooling design.
• Capacity to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
• A solid understanding of machining, manufacturing processes, and materials.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
• A trade qualification in Toolmaking or Engineering is ideal.
