Training & Development Lead Brotherhood of St Laurence Frankston

This is a full-time role based in Frankston, offering an opportunity to support capability, compliance, and drive high-quality learning within Community Care.

About the role: The Brotherhood of St Laurence is seeking a dedicated Training & Development Lead to join the Frankston team. This position involves designing, delivering, and continuously improving training programs for Community Care. The role requires providing high-quality, accessible learning to support staff capability, enhance service excellence, and meet regulatory requirements, utilising best practices in adult learning and aligning with relevant standards.

Salary: $90,962.92 - $97,875.15 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain engaging, accessible learning resources that adhere to adult learning principles and WCAG accessibility standards.
  • Facilitate learning sessions designed to support diverse learners, including those with disability or English as an additional language.
  • Guide, coach, and support staff in achieving learning outcomes and demonstrating competency.
  • Offer advice and support to managers and teams regarding learning and development solutions.
  • Apply effective project management skills, including prioritisation, scheduling, and monitoring of deliverables.
  • Participate in audits, validation, and moderation processes, addressing any identified issues promptly.
  • Ensure accurate utilisation of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and organisational databases.

What we are looking for: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Training & Development Lead who is passionate about driving continuous improvements and contributing to BSL’s mission.

Key skills and experience:

  • A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40122 or an equivalent qualification.
  • A relevant qualification within the disability sector or demonstrable equivalent and recent experience in the training industry.
  • Proven experience and/or knowledge in aged and community care programs, including Support at Home, HACC – PYY, Support for Carers, and/or community connections.
  • Well-developed working knowledge of Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), other databases, and customer relationship management programs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and effectively network with a range of stakeholders.
  • Understanding of and empathy with the values and ideals of the Brotherhood of St Laurence.
