Transactional Finance Manager

This role assumes responsibility for high-volume transactional finance processes, serving as the critical interface between internal stakeholders and an externalised processing provider for AP/AR operations. The position requires a focus on driving process improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee AP & AR operations across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring timely, accurate processing and compliance with local requirements.
- Develop and implement AP/AR strategy, including reporting, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain robust processes, documentation, and internal controls, proactively identifying and addressing risks.
- Manage the corporate credit card program through Concur, encompassing applications, amendments, and employee support.
- Approve customer credit limits and terms, monitor aged debt, and manage stop-supply decisions within delegated authority.
- Oversee the preparation and timely provision of accurate cash flow forecasts and perform monthly variance analysis to explain differences between forecast and actual results.
- Act as the key contact for the outsourced AP/AR provider, ensuring service levels and contractual obligations are met.
- Resolve complex AP/AR issues and partner with finance, sales, supply chain, and customers to support cash flow and operational outcomes.
- Support month-end activities, including reconciliations, reporting, audit requirements, and compliance.
What You'll Bring:
- Experience leading AP & AR functions within a large corporate environment, ideally across Australia and New Zealand.
- Experience managing outsourced providers or shared service environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across internal and external teams.
- Excellent attention to detail, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on controls and compliance.
- FMCG experience and exposure to JD Edwards and/or Power BI will be highly regarded.
- High levels of integrity, accountability, and commercial judgement, particularly in relation to credit management and financial controls.
