Job Description AECOM is delivering significant transport and infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand, supported by a global network of over 150 countries. Our South East Queensland (SEQ) team combines extensive local knowledge with world-class capabilities, offering the chance to work on impactful, city-shaping projects while remaining connected to a wider network of technical experts. The SEQ Transport Planning team is experiencing strong growth with a robust pipeline of work in major transport programs. We are looking for a Transport Engineer / Modeller to join and contribute to this ongoing momentum.
How you’ll make a difference
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as a transport modeller.
- Experience in delivering operational modelling, such as microsimulation and mesoscopic modelling, for technically challenging projects.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and analysis skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Qualifications
- Recognised tertiary qualifications in engineering, transport, mathematics, economics, geography, computer science, statistics, physics, or an equivalent discipline.
- Experience in one or more operational modelling platforms, such as VISSIM, VisVAP, Aimsun, or SIDRA.
- Experience in using and developing scripts and macros within these packages.
- Programming experience in Python, SQL, and Visual Basic.
- Experience in applying GIS techniques to transport modelling outputs and analysis.
