Our client, a leading law firm situated in Melbourne's CBD, fosters employee development and high performance. In response to organisational expansion, they are seeking an experienced Trust Accounts Officer to join their Melbourne trust accounts team and contribute to general finance operations.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Trust and Accounts Manager, your responsibilities will encompass:
- Collaborating within a team of trust accounts officers.
- Performing trust account reconciliations.
- Processing trust account transactions.
- Supporting the trust audit process.
- Maintaining trust and controlled money accounts.
- Assisting with the management of the accounts inbox, including responding to queries.
- Processing system entries.
- Establishing and closing accounts.
- Undertaking other duties as directed by the Finance Manager.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated experience in a comparable trust accounting position within a legal or professional services context, alongside the following:
- Proficient communication skills, with an emphasis on client relationships.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Effective time management abilities.
- A high degree of attention to detail.
- The capacity to meet deadlines and deliver a high standard of support.
- Experience with Aderent or LEAP software systems would be advantageous.
