About the Role This permanent full-time position will see you leading the efficiency and effectiveness of our wastewater and water supply headworks. Reporting directly to the Manager Water Services, this role involves teamwork and shaping the future of water management in Narrabri Shire.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing high-level support and recommendations to the Manager Water Services.
• Coordinating resources for the proper operation and maintenance of treatment plants, water supply bores, and infrastructure.
• Assisting with the enforcement and implementation of legislation, standards, and Council policies.
• Ensuring quality control of work undertaken by the team and external contractors.
• Providing technical and problem-solving support for operators.
• Preparing quotes and assessments for water and sewer infrastructure.

About You The successful candidate will be a proactive team member. We are looking for individuals with:

• Strong time management skills for effective task prioritisation and deadline adherence.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
• Computer literacy for utilising various software and systems.
• A degree in Engineering, or a Diploma level qualification with demonstrated experience.
