Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy & Fertilisers (WesCEF) - Chemical/Process Engineering Vacation Program - 2026/2027

WesCEF is offering a 12-week paid Vacation Program for Chemical/Process Engineering students in their penultimate year of study. This program provides an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to real business challenges within WesCEF's world-class production facilities in Kwinana. The program commences in late November 2026 and concludes in mid-February 2027.

Program Inclusions

This 12-week paid Vacation Program, running from late November 2026 to mid-February 2027, is designed to support Process/Chemical Engineering students. Participants will gain practical operational experience, build technical knowledge, and receive dedicated mentoring and support. As part of a recognised safe, reliable, and innovative industry leader, you will apply theory, enhance technical expertise, collaborate with various stakeholders, and develop communication and leadership capabilities. WesCEF aims to provide tailored training, support, guidance, and a launchpad for a career.

Placements are available at WesCEF's operational facilities in Kwinana, including:

  • CSBP AAN (production of ammonia gas, ammonium nitrate solid and liquid, and emulsion products)
  • Kleenheat (gas production - LNG and LPG)
  • Australian Gold Reagents (sodium cyanide production - liquid & solid)
  • CSBP Fertilisers (a range of liquid and solid fertiliser and nutrient products)
  • WesCEF Technical and Operational Services

  • Implement and improve technical skills and knowledge in a hands-on engineering work environment.

  • Join a supportive engineering team and gain invaluable experience from recent graduates, engineers, operators, and technical services teams.
  • Work closely with a dedicated mentor for guidance and assistance.
  • Collaborate with and build lasting relationships with fellow WesCEF vacation engineering students.
  • Some students may be offered a cadetship, providing part-time employment during their final university year and a potential pathway to the graduate program. Cadetships are not guaranteed.
