Job Description

Admin Assistant - Centralised Team

Company: Essence Homes Location: Melbourne VIC Work Type: Full-time Work Arrangement: Onsite

Essence Homes is seeking an Administration Assistant to join our Centralised Team in Melbourne. This full-time, onsite role offers a rewarding salary package and employee benefits, providing an opportunity to commence a career in property management within a forward-thinking Build-to-Rent (BTR) environment. The ideal start date is June 2026.

As the Administration Assistant, you will be integral to the daily operations of our single-family BTR communities. Collaborating closely with the Leasing & Property Management team, your contributions will ensure a smooth renter experience, uphold compliance standards, and foster thriving, well-maintained communities. This position is well-suited for an individual aspiring to advance into a senior property role, offering hands-on training, exposure to all facets of leasing and operations, and the chance to participate in a leading BTR project.

A Day in the Life:

  • Support the leasing process, including managing enquiries and processing applications, with a focus on checking compliance against Cohort and Income criteria.
  • Prepare and review Entry Condition Reports, move-in documentation, and compliance checks.
  • Assist with renter onboarding and provide responsive, friendly communication throughout their tenancy journey.
  • Maintain accurate tenancy records, CRM data, application documentation, and regulatory paperwork.
  • Proactively address renter questions and general enquiries.
  • Support senior team members in delivering high service standards, community engagement, and retention initiatives.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act, Privacy Act, Anti-Discrimination legislation, and HAAF guidelines.

About You:

You are proactive, organised, and keen to learn the fundamentals of property management within a modern, community-focused BTR setting.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A valid and current Cert IV in Real Estate Practice.
  • Experience in residential leasing, admin support, customer service, or property operations is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with renters, trades, and stakeholders.
  • A can-do attitude, meticulous attention to detail, and a desire for progression within the property sector.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

About Essence Homes:

Essence Homes leverages extensive Build-to-Rent expertise and a dedication to delivering exceptional renter experiences. We integrate operational excellence, genuine community engagement, and long-term sustainability to create desirable living spaces. We see ourselves as community builders, not just housing providers.

Why Join Us?

  • Inclusive & Collaborative Culture: Become part of a vibrant, supportive team that values individuality and recognises your contributions.
  • Your Voice Matters: Share your insights through engagement surveys and connect with colleagues via Viva Engage.
  • Community & Connection: Enjoy monthly morning teas, team events, and social gatherings designed to enhance workplace enjoyment.
  • Rewarding Referrals: Earn up to $1,000 AUD for successfully referring talented individuals to our team.
  • Travel Perks: Access exclusive rates and special offers across the Essence Hotels & Apartments network.

If you are eager to advance your property career, support a high-performing BTR portfolio, and contribute to outstanding renter experiences, we encourage you to apply. Take the next step in redefining the renting experience by applying now.
