Essence Homes is seeking an Administration Assistant to join our Centralised Team in Melbourne. The ideal start date is June 2026.
As the Administration Assistant, you will be integral to the daily operations of our single-family BTR communities. Collaborating closely with the Leasing & Property Management team, your contributions will ensure a smooth renter experience, uphold compliance standards, and foster thriving, well-maintained communities. This position is well-suited for an individual aspiring to advance into a senior property role, offering hands-on training, exposure to all facets of leasing and operations, and the chance to participate in a leading BTR project.
A Day in the Life:
- Support the leasing process, including managing enquiries and processing applications, with a focus on checking compliance against Cohort and Income criteria.
- Prepare and review Entry Condition Reports, move-in documentation, and compliance checks.
- Assist with renter onboarding and provide responsive, friendly communication throughout their tenancy journey.
- Maintain accurate tenancy records, CRM data, application documentation, and regulatory paperwork.
- Proactively address renter questions and general enquiries.
- Support senior team members in delivering high service standards, community engagement, and retention initiatives.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act, Privacy Act, Anti-Discrimination legislation, and HAAF guidelines.
About You:
You are proactive, organised, and keen to learn the fundamentals of property management within a modern, community-focused BTR setting.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- A valid and current Cert IV in Real Estate Practice.
- Experience in residential leasing, admin support, customer service, or property operations is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with renters, trades, and stakeholders.
- A can-do attitude, meticulous attention to detail, and a desire for progression within the property sector.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
