Administration Officer - Corporate
Anglicare North Queensland Limited is seeking an Administration Officer for a full-time, onsite position in Cairns. The salary is based on the SCHADS Award Social & Community Services Level 3.
About the Role
As a key member of the Corporate Services team, the Administration Officer will provide professional administrative support across various departments, including human resources, work health and safety, payroll, travel, and other operational functions as needed. This role contributes to the effective operation of Anglicare NQ's corporate services systems, such as ELMO, Employment Hero, Mango, SharePoint, and other information systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing reception duties.
- Maintaining agendas and meeting minutes.
- Assisting with governance and committee reports.
- Booking staff travel.
- Providing support to corporate teams during periods of high workload and staff absence.
To Be Successful
Candidates will require:
- A Certificate, Diploma, or be working towards a degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, and/or practical experience in HR and/or Payroll administration, recruitment, or office support within a structured environment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally in written and verbal formats, including preparing routine correspondence and responding to enquiries from staff and stakeholders.
- Well-developed ICT skills, encompassing Microsoft Office applications and HR/Payroll systems, with the capacity to quickly learn new processes and databases for employee records and recruitment.
- Proven ability to maintain accurate administrative and personnel records, apply confidentiality principles, and follow established procedures with a high level of attention to detail.
- A proven track record of contributing positively within team environments, with the ability to navigate workplace communication and build effective working relationships.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external providers, fostering productive relationships to support organisational outcomes.
- Understanding of the community services sector, including awareness of relevant legislation, regulatory frameworks, and service delivery standards, with the ability to follow established procedures and guidelines.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion, including the ability to work in culturally safe and respectful ways with First Nations peoples and diverse communities.
Compliance Requirements
- A satisfactory National Criminal History Check (less than 3 months old).
- A Blue Card (QLD working with children card).
- LSC2 (child safety screening check).
- A QLD driver’s licence ‘Class C’ or interstate equivalent.
- Out of hours work may be required from time to time.
