Lead a high-performing administrative team within a busy Specialist Outpatient Referral Centre in Toowoomba. This role involves coordinating workflows, driving service improvements, and ensuring the efficient progression of patients through referral processes. It presents an opportunity for leadership focused on people, with a tangible impact on patient access and care.

Your Contribution

As the Specialist Outpatient Referral Centre Supervisor, you will be instrumental in connecting patients with necessary care. Your responsibilities will include guiding your team through daily priorities, enhancing referral pathways, and fostering a smooth, responsive outpatient service that supports clinicians and improves community outcomes.

Your daily contributions will include:

  • Leading and supporting a team to deliver timely and accurate referral and scheduling services.
  • Coordinating workflows, resources, and priorities to maintain efficient service operations.
  • Resolving operational challenges and strengthening processes to improve patient flow.
  • Building team capability through coaching, feedback, and fostering a collaborative culture.

To Thrive in This Role, You Will Have:

  • Experience leading or supervising administrative teams in a complex setting.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven ability to prioritise, problem-solve, and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Confidence using patient administration systems and Microsoft Office tools.

Experience in outpatient services or healthcare systems, and/or exposure to reporting or workflow optimisation tools would be advantageous.
