Djerriwarrh Community College, a small, independent specialist senior secondary school situated in Melton, is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Administration Assistant. The College is dedicated to fostering a caring and inclusive learning environment for young people aged 15-19 years, delivering the Victorian Pathway Certificate (VPC) and VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM). The College provides a safe and inclusive learning environment for young people who may have been disengaged or are at risk of disengaging from education.
About the Role
The Administration Assistant will be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality reception services, serving as a welcoming and professional first point of contact for the school community.
- Providing exceptional administrative support to the College, contributing to the efficient operation of College systems and processes.
This is a part-time, 0.4 FTE role, fixed-term for one year, with an anticipated start date in Term 3, 2026. The role will be based onsite in Melton and is scheduled for Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays.

Skills and Qualifications
- A relevant qualification in business/administration or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Teams, and a student management system (Compass is preferred).
- A Working With Children Check is required.
- First Aid training or a willingness to undertake it.
- Anaphylaxis training or a willingness to undertake it.
- Child Safe training or a willingness to undertake it.
- Knowledge of work health and safety is advantageous.
- A current Victorian Driver's Licence is advantageous.
