CLS is a leading commercial laundry provider in regional Queensland, serving the hospitality, healthcare, and aged care sectors. As a family-owned business with over 350 employees, we are dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

This is a full-time, onsite position with a salary of $70,000 per year.

You will be the organisational hub for our Rockhampton facility, managing day-to-day administration and customer service functions. This varied role involves coordinating administration, purchasing, customer communication, and reporting, all while supporting our operational teams to ensure site efficiency.

About the Role

Reporting to the Rockhampton Operations Manager, you will take ownership of site administration and provide exceptional support to both customers and internal departments. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating purchasing for site consumables and operational needs.
  • Maintaining accurate records.
  • Responding to customer enquiries.
  • Preparing reports.
  • Assisting with various administrative functions to support smooth business operations.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on organisation, problem-solving, working with people, and taking responsibility for their tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day administration for the Rockhampton facility.
  • Provide exceptional customer service via phone, email, and face-to-face communication.
  • Manage purchasing of site consumables and operational requirements.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment.
  • Coordinate purchase orders and follow up on outstanding approvals.
  • Prepare weekly operational and utility reports.
  • Maintain accurate customer, purchasing, and administration records.
  • Support payroll, timesheet processing, recruitment, and onboarding administration.
  • Assist with customer account administration, pricing updates, and contract changes.
  • Work closely with Operations, Washroom, Finishing, and Despatch teams to ensure efficient information flow.
  • Escalate customer quality or operational concerns to the appropriate teams for resolution.
  • Maintain site documentation, records, and filing systems to ensure information is accurate, current, and readily accessible.
  • Promote and comply with CLS safety policies and procedures, proactively identifying and reporting hazards while contributing to a safe workplace for employees, customers, and visitors.

About You

We are looking for an individual who enjoys organisation and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in administration, office coordination, or customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and business management systems.

Experience with purchasing, reporting, or payroll administration is highly regarded. A proactive attitude and willingness to support a busy operational environment are essential. A strong commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement is also required.

Experience within manufacturing, logistics, hospitality, commercial laundry, or production industries will be highly regarded but is not essential.

Why Join CLS?
