Salary: $39.98 to $44.46 per hour plus superannuation and benefits. Total remuneration value up to $100,585 per annum.
Rockhampton Hospital, a 305-bed facility, serves as the primary referral hospital for Central Queensland. It now offers integrated cancer care services, housed in a new building equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment. The hospital is accredited for training in emergency medicine, general surgery, anaesthetics, intensive care, general medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, and psychiatry.
About the Role:
- Provide efficient, high-quality administrative support across various positions within the Rockhampton Hospital Administrative Support and Development Unit, ensuring service continuity.
- Exercise sound judgment to prioritise workloads, maintain accuracy, and deliver responsible, reliable work both independently and as part of a team.
- Effectively utilise hospital information systems, ensuring data is accurate, timely, complete, and supports clinical and management decision-making.
- Support medical and nursing staff with administrative tasks, including reception, documentation, filing, audits, and patient record management.
About You:
- Ability to safely perform the physical duties of the role, which may include lifting, bending, squatting, ladder use, and transporting files/charts via trolleys.
- Possess strong problem-solving skills, with the capacity to use initiative and sound judgment in situations where procedures or precedents are not clearly defined.
- Proficient in computer systems and Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-focused administrative support.
- Well-developed administrative and organisational skills suitable for supporting clinical and non-clinical teams in a busy hospital environment.
