Administration/Receptionist The Royal Melbourne Hospital Parkville Part-time, Onsite

Join the BreastScreen multidisciplinary team at The Royal Melbourne Hospital's Royal Campus. This part-time, onsite role offers a unique opportunity to be the first point of contact for clients and their families, contributing to a welcoming, compassionate, and person-centred experience. You will play an important role in creating a positive and supportive environment within a dedicated team focused on the early detection and prevention of breast cancer. This position allows for a meaningful contribution daily within a collaborative healthcare setting.

About the Role

  • Provide coverage at screening clinics located in Essendon and Footscray.
  • Welcome and assist women attending for mammograms.
  • Answer phone enquiries professionally and compassionately.
  • Support clients returning to Parkville for further investigations following changes identified during screening.
  • Undertake excellent time management and completion of data entry and quality assurance (QA) tasks.

Work Arrangements

  • The role operates on 39 hours per fortnight.
  • No weekend work is required.
  • Shifts are typically 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, with one evening shift per week needed to support extended clinic services and improve client access.

  • Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and telephone techniques.
  • Demonstrate proven skills and accuracy in data processing and managing medical records.
  • Be proactive and willing to work and learn in a team environment.
  • Show demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and work ethics.
