We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Chatswood location to support the Store Manager in leading our team and delivering a distinctive retail experience.
The Opportunity
As Assistant Store Manager, you will work closely with the Store Manager to cultivate an exceptional in-store customer experience. You will lead by example, inspire the team, and ensure efficient daily operations while upholding the Salomon ethos.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Inspire: Motivate the team to achieve sales targets and provide outstanding customer service.
- Oversee Store Operations: Manage inventory and visual merchandising to maintain store presentation and functionality.
- Drive Performance: Develop and execute strategies to increase foot traffic, sales, and customer loyalty.
- Team Development: Collaborate with the Store Manager on staff recruitment, training, and development, fostering a positive and energetic environment.
- Store Management Support: Assist in managing the operations of a new store, including project support for a smooth launch.
- Analysis and Reporting: Monitor performance metrics, manage budgets, and prepare regular reports.
- Brand Adherence: Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and embody the Salomon spirit.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience as an Assistant Store Manager or in a similar retail leadership capacity.
- A proven history of meeting sales targets and contributing to store performance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with customers and team members.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- A passion for outdoor sports and a solid understanding of the Salomon brand and its products.
- Skills in data-driven decision-making and translating insights into action.
- Availability to work varied hours, including weekends and public holidays. The roster will be Sunday to Thursday.
