Role Overview
This role offers an opportunity to advance your retail leadership career. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will oversee daily operations, drive sales, and foster team excellence. You will be a key member of the in-store leadership team, assisting the Store Manager in managing a multi-million-dollar business. Your responsibilities will include motivating staff, managing rosters, and reporting, contributing to an exceptional team focused on delivering highly efficient customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop future leaders through training and coaching team members.
- Maintain store presentation, adhering to the highest standards of safety and cleanliness.
- Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and minimise losses.
- Participate in customer-facing activities such as operating registers, stocking shelves, and merchandising special buys.
- Identify areas for improvement, welcoming innovative suggestions.
- Ensure smooth store operations to contribute to customer satisfaction.
- Assume responsibility for store management during the Store Manager's absence.
Qualifications:
- Experience in leading teams, preferably within a customer-facing setting.
- Strong communication skills to inspire colleagues and engage customers.
- Demonstrated ability and passion for motivating, training, and encouraging team performance.
- Capacity to support the Store Manager in achieving store objectives.
- A professional and responsible approach to all situations.
- Ability to work autonomously and ensure the implementation of ALDI policies and procedures.
Additional Information:
- Salary: $103,200 - $109,200* (includes superannuation and predicted bonuses; remuneration will differ based on contracted hours, location, and ALDI experience).
