Haymes Paint is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join their store network and support leadership in the Horsham location. This full-time, onsite role offers an opportunity to engage with customers, utilise product knowledge, and contribute to store operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in leading, coaching, and developing a small team.
• Deliver a high level of customer service, aiding customers with product selection and technical advice.
• Address all paint-related queries from customers, including tinting and colour matching.
• Manage inventory, including goods receiving and stocktaking, and ensure stock replenishment.
• Act as an escalation point for customer inquiries.
• Process Point of Sale (POS) and end-of-day transactions.
• Support the Sales team in expanding trade, industrial, and retail business.
• Promote a safety-first approach within the store.

About You:

• Previous experience in a similar customer service role within retail or sales, or a strong interest in developing into such a position.
• A genuine desire to provide and lead outstanding service.
• Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems or comparable technological proficiency.
• Effective time management and planning skills.
• Resilience to manage work-related pressures, including workload, pace, and conflict.
• The autonomy to follow established processes or implement meaningful, value-adding improvements.
• An unrestricted driver's licence.
