The Role

This full-time, on-site position is rostered Sunday to Thursday with variable shift times. By applying, you confirm your availability to work these days.

As an Assistant Store Manager, your primary focus is the customer. You will lead with a customer-first mindset, ensuring excellent in-store experiences and inspiring your team to achieve this daily. You will partner with the Store Manager to motivate the team, fostering high performance through coaching and a passion for purpose.

Your responsibilities include assisting in the oversight of daily store operations, managing the team to meet financial budgets and targets, and ensuring visual merchandising standards are met. In the Store Manager's absence, you will be the primary point of contact, ensuring customers receive service that upholds JD Sports' high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Experience: Coach and inspire the team to deliver exceptional customer experiences that build brand and store loyalty, leading with a customer-first approach.
• Business Development: Drive store performance and achieve financial budgets and targets by analysing data and reports to maximise sales and profitability, identifying opportunities and mitigating risks in sales, inventory, and operations.
• Commercial Operations: Apply in-depth knowledge of retail operations to prioritise time, tasks, and processes for optimal return on investment.
• Dynamic People Management: Foster a positive and motivating store environment that inspires high performance. Nurture a strong culture where individuals feel valued, recognised, and supported through feedback, coaching, training, and recognition. Attract, recruit, and develop top talent for the store.
