Unichi Wellness is a rapidly expanding Australian wellness brand, recognised for its Teddi Bear range of functional gummy vitamins. With robust growth across Australian and international markets, we are extending our retail footprint with a new flagship concept store in Sydney CBD. Situated in the city centre, this store is designed to be more than just a retail space; it's a brand experience destination. Here, customers can explore Unichi, learn about our products, participate in product sampling, and engage with the brand interactively.

About the Role

As Assistant Store Manager, you will contribute to the oversight of daily store operations, provide support and coaching to the shop floor team, drive sales performance, uphold store standards, and ensure a welcoming, professional, and engaging customer experience. Your role will be crucial in maintaining smooth store operations and ensuring every customer interaction aligns with Unichi’s brand values.

Key Responsibilities

• Store Operations & Daily Management
• Assist the Store Manager with the day-to-day running of the store.
• Support opening and closing procedures, POS operations, cash handling, and daily reporting.
• Maintain store presentation, cleanliness, stock levels, testers, displays, and promotional materials.
• Ensure consistent adherence to store standards, visual merchandising, and operational procedures.
• Support stock replenishment, inventory checks, and basic stock management.

• Customer Experience & Sales
• Deliver a warm, engaging, and professional customer experience.
• Proactively approach customers, understand their needs, and recommend suitable Unichi products.
• Clearly and confidently explain product benefits in a customer-friendly manner.
• Drive customer engagement through product education, sampling, gifting moments, and in-store activities.

• Team Support & Leadership
• Act as a positive role model for retail team members during shifts.
• Support the Store Manager in guiding, motivating, and coaching the team.
• Assist with the onboarding and training of new team members on product knowledge, customer service standards, and store procedures.
• Provide on-the-floor support and feedback to team members when required.

• Brand & Product Representation
• Confidently and professionally represent Unichi’s wellness positioning.
• Maintain strong product knowledge, understanding key selling points, customer scenarios, and product recommendations.
• Support in-store campaigns, product launches, VIP events, and promotional activities.
• Ensure customer-facing communication is consistent with Unichi’s brand tone and product positioning.
• Help bring Unichi’s brand story to life through daily customer interactions.

About You

We are seeking an individual with:

• Previous retail experience, ideally within wellness, beauty, skincare, supplements, pharmacy, lifestyle, fashion, or FMCG retail.
• Experience in a role such as Assistant Store Manager, Store Supervisor, Team Leader, Key Holder, or Senior Retail Assistant.
• Strong customer service and selling skills.
• Confidence in approaching customers and making product recommendations.
• Good communication skills and a professional working attitude.
• A hands-on leadership style and the ability to support team members on the shop floor.
• Good attention to detail in store presentation, stock handling, and daily execution.
