About the Role: An Associate Professor position is available in 2026 at our Adelaide campus. These roles report directly to the Executive Dean / Dean ITS. Applicants must possess a PhD or equivalent, an outstanding record of teaching relevant to the advertised positions, enthusiasm for educating international students in Higher Education, a record of scholarly engagement in a relevant discipline, and experience collaborating with partner organisations, industry, and community groups.

Person Specifications:
- PhD in Information and Communications Technology or a closely related discipline.
- For Associate Professor – Must have at least five years of Higher Education ICT teaching experience in Australia.
- Must have experience in digital delivery of units in Higher Education.
- Strong courseware development skills are essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in student-facing situations.
- Australian FULL work rights are essential.
- Professional IT certification and/or hands-on industry experience is advantageous.
- Course administration experience is desirable.
- Good knowledge of academic-related administration in a university setting is advantageous.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain on-campus hours as rostered.
- Teach ICT Bachelor / Master course units (face-to-face and/or online) as assigned by the Dean of ITS or their delegates.
- Conduct tutorials and labs, and support student learning through active consulting (face-to-face and/or online).
- Carry out assessment, examination, and project marking.
- Prepare/develop quality learning materials that can support a multi-modal learning environment.
- Undertake course management and administration tasks related to student progress, examinations, and academic records management.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students.
- Willing to teach at times, locations, and modalities to meet student needs.
- Willingness to participate in the institution’s continuous improvement process.
- Willingness to work with peers to support the mission of the Institution.
- Participation in designated committee activities as required.
- Participation in professional development activities as required.
- Other professional duties as assigned by the Executive Dean and/or Dean of ITS.
Travel:
- Inter-campus travel at short notice as required.
