Job Description

The Quality and Compliance Officer provides a shared service across all Business Units within the University Partnerships Australasia division, responsible for delivering high-quality governance, compliance, and policy services. This role has the authority to provide advice within the published policy parameters for the respective Business Unit.

Key Result Areas:

  • Governance & Data
  • Provide executive officer services to academic and non-academic governance committees, including minute writing, collation of agendas under direction from the respective Quality & Compliance Manager, meeting logistics, and coordinating membership records.
  • Populate template reports with student performance data.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities to enhance the ability to collect and present performance data effectively.
  • Compliance
  • Contribute to registration/accreditation submissions under broad direction from the responsible Quality & Compliance Manager. This includes gathering information, pre-populating templates for Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to refine and finalise, collecting and organising materials from college/campus SMEs, coordinating the project tracker, and following up on deadlines.
  • Contribute to maintaining the master registration and accreditation schedule across the division to support appropriate sequencing and planning for upcoming processes.
  • Policy
  • Maintain the policy review schedule for Colleges/Campuses, ensuring local policy owners are supported to review and update in a timely manner for governance approvals.
  • Ensure all current policies and procedures are easily accessible to staff and students by maintaining the relevant online libraries.
  • Coordinate periodic communications to College/Campus Staff regarding updates to local policies.
  • Undertake any other services as directed by the Quality & Compliance Coordinator.

This role can be based at any of our offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, or Perth.

Qualifications

  • Essential:
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or demonstrated previous experience working successfully in a similar position.
  • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including experience liaising with senior staff internal and external to the organisation.
  • Demonstrated high-level ability to write detailed documentation to meet the needs of legislative authorities, and experience in drafting policy and procedure documentation.
  • Advanced IT skills, including proficiency with administrative information systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated organisational ability and initiative, including prioritising to meet deadlines, often with competing demands in a complex team environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as appropriate to the task.
  • Desirable:
  • Knowledge of the regulatory framework across the VET and higher education sectors.
