Role Overview
Goodchild Enterprises is looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Automotive Parts Salesperson to become part of our dynamic sales team. This role involves utilising your automotive parts expertise to deliver outstanding service and support to our customers, ensuring they locate the correct parts for their requirements.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to ascertain their needs and recommend appropriate automotive parts and accessories, with a specific focus on batteries and oil.
- Interpret parts information and cross-reference products to fulfil customer requirements.
- Apply product knowledge to inform customers about the features and benefits of parts, facilitating informed purchasing decisions.
- Process orders accurately and efficiently, maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction.
- Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with both customers and suppliers.
- Deliver a high level of customer service via phone, email, and in person.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Required:
- Sales experience within a fast-paced retail setting.
- The capacity to consistently lift a minimum of 15kg.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programs.
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Preferred:
- At least 1 year of experience in automotive parts sales or a comparable field.
- Experience with parts interpretation and cross-referencing.
- Familiarity with automotive repair procedures and terminology.
- An understanding of automotive parts, systems, and repairs.
- The capacity to consistently lift a minimum of 25kg.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Ability to use online parts catalogues and databases.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
