Banking Administration Clerk

We are presently recruiting for a motivated Banking Clerk to integrate into our Administration department at our Epping head office. This presents a significant prospect to collaborate within a supportive, experienced team that prioritises teamwork, effectiveness, and precision.
About the Role In this dynamic position, you will be instrumental in ensuring the prompt and precise handling of banking transactions across our dealership network.
Your duties will involve:
- Processing and reconciling daily cash, EFTPOS, and credit card banking transactions.
- Reconciling merchant facility settlements and investigating discrepancies.
- Balancing dealership banking records and confirming accurate receipt allocation.
- Preparing and reviewing daily banking reports.
- Communicating with dealership teams to address banking and reconciliation inquiries.
- Assisting with month-end banking reconciliations and reporting obligations.
- Monitoring banking exceptions and pursuing outstanding items.
- Maintaining precise financial records and supporting compliance mandates.
- Providing support to the broader administration and finance team with ad hoc tasks as required.
About You You are highly organised, possess a keen eye for detail, and thrive in a high-volume setting that involves numerical work.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Prior experience in a banking, accounts, finance administration, or comparable role.
- Automotive dealership experience (highly regarded but not essential).
- Experience with Pentana (preferred).
- Strong Microsoft Excel proficiencies.
- Excellent time management and organisational capabilities.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and reconciliation abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
