About the Role Battery World Albion is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Battery Technician / Sales Assistant for a full-time, on-site role. This hands-on position is ideal for an individual who enjoys a blend of retail, technical work, and customer service. You will contribute to daily store operations and assist customers with battery testing, replacement, product advice, and mobile call-out services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test, fit, and replace batteries for automotive and related applications.
• Assist retail and trade customers with battery sales and product recommendations.
• Provide clear technical advice and reliable customer support.
• Process sales transactions and payments accurately using point-of-sale systems.
• Undertake battery testing, installation, and call-out services at customer locations.
• Receive incoming stock, manage inventory rotation, and maintain stock accuracy.
• Ensure the store remains clean, organised, and professionally presented.
• Adhere to workplace health and safety procedures at all times.

About You:

• Hold a current open manual driver’s licence.
• Have full Australian working rights or be a permanent resident.
• Be physically fit and capable of safely lifting and handling heavy batteries.
• Possess strong communication and customer service skills.
• Have basic computer skills and be comfortable using retail or point-of-sale systems.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently and manage daily tasks effectively.
• Be reliable, punctual, and committed to safe work practices.

Desirable Experience:

• Battery fitting experience.
• Background in the automotive industry.
• Mechanical aptitude and confidence using tools.
• Retail sales experience.
• Experience with diagnostic tools or battery testing equipment.
