Choice Discounts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for its Broken Hill location. This full-time, on-site role involves supporting the Store Manager in the daily operations of the store. The position requires strong leadership capabilities, excellent customer service skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for retail.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the management of all facets of store operations, encompassing staffing, inventory control, and financial outcomes.
• Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all patrons.
• Guide, motivate, and develop a team of sales associates to maximise productivity and sales performance.
• Implement and oversee store policies and procedures to ensure adherence to company standards.
• Collaborate with regional and corporate teams to foster business growth and profitability.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail management capacity.
• Previous experience within Discount, Department store, or Supermarket environments is essential.
• Demonstrated merchandising skills.
• Strong leadership and people management abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate a team.
• A keen customer service orientation and the ability to cultivate robust customer relationships.
• Proficiency in computer usage.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to evolving business requirements.
• Availability to work across the entire week, as the store operates 7 days a week.
