Business Manager (AO4) - Redcliffe State High School
The Queensland Department of Education is seeking a proactive and organised Business Manager (AO4) to oversee the financial and facilities operations at Redcliffe State High School.
This onsite, full-time position will involve close collaboration with the leadership team, providing assistance with budgeting, financial management, procurement, asset management, maintenance programs, and facility projects to ensure the school operates efficiently and effectively. The role is suited to a motivated professional capable of managing competing priorities, fostering strong stakeholder relationships, and contributing to a positive learning environment for students and staff. This position reports to the Business Manager (AO7).

About the Role: The Business Manager will lead the delivery of corporate, administrative, and financial services essential for the effective operation of the school. Working with the leadership team, the role encompasses oversight of budgeting, financial management, procurement, asset management, maintenance programs, and facility projects, all while supporting school operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level business and administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the school.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and recommendations, and resolve complex administrative issues.
- Support the Principal with budget preparation, financial management, purchasing, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Oversee facilities, maintenance, minor works, and resource management to support safe and effective school operations.
- Build productive relationships with staff, contractors, and the wider school community to deliver high-quality business services.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, sound judgement, and a collaborative approach when supporting the school community.
