Business Support Officer - Unit Support

The Victoria State Emergency Service is seeking a Business Support Officer to provide efficient and effective regional administration support, with a primary focus on supporting Volunteer Units within the region.
Salary: $72,189 to $79,753 per annum, plus 12% Superannuation.
Role Summary: As an integral member of the Unit Support Team, the Business Support Officer will provide administrative support and coordination to the region, specifically assisting Volunteer Units. This role is responsible for supporting the Senior Assistant Chief Officer (Unit Support).
Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting correspondence.
- Minute taking and management.
- Maintenance of records in accordance with VICSES corporate content management system standards and guidelines.
- Reception duties.
- Request referral, tracking, follow-up, and completion.
About Victoria State Emergency Service: Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) is a volunteer-based emergency service dedicated to minimising the impact of emergencies and strengthening community recovery. VICSES focuses on building community resilience through awareness, information, and preparedness. We support communities in understanding their risks and the importance of proactive action before, during, and after emergency events.
VICSES plays a significant role in Victoria's emergency response, including Flood, Storm, Earthquake, Tsunami, and Landslide events, and supports other agencies as required under section 6A of the VICSES Act. As Australia's largest road rescue network, VICSES provides 24/7 response to road accident and trauma incidents. We also assist Victoria Police in search and rescue operations and support agencies like the Country Fire Authority (CFA), Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV), Parks Victoria, and the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) during major bushfire and emergency incidents.
