Target Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Buyer - Accessories to join their Merchandise team in Chadstone. This role operates on a hybrid model.

About the Role Reporting to the Business Manager, you will play a key role in shaping our accessories range, creating stylish, affordable, and customer-loved products. This fast-paced and collaborative role requires customer-first thinking and strong commercial acumen to deliver exceptional product ranges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Range Building: Translate customer insights and market trends into compelling accessories assortments and option plans, partnering with Planning and Design to achieve key financial KPIs.
• Trend & Product Leadership: Stay ahead of trends to create relevant, on-brand, and commercially successful accessories ranges.
• Trade & Performance: Analyse trading data to identify opportunities, optimise performance, and respond to the evolving retail environment.
• Supplier Partnerships: Build and manage strong supplier relationships, sourcing new partners aligned with Target's quality and value proposition.
• Critical Path Management: Own the end-to-end buying process to ensure product is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.
• Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Planning, Design, Digital, and Marketing to bring ranges to life and deliver positive customer outcomes.
• Driving Results: Contribute to a high-performing team focused on achieving sales, profit, and stock targets.

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience in Buying, Product Development, or Design within a retail environment, ideally within accessories or a related category.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decision-making.
• Proven ability to build and manage supplier relationships.
• A strong eye for product, with the ability to translate trends into commercial outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Strong planning, organisation, and time management capability.
• A collaborative mindset with a passion for delivering results and continuous improvement.
