The Mackay Hospital Expansion Project is seeking applications for a Change Manager to join their team on a temporary, onsite contract basis.
Your Opportunity
This role is part of the Mackay Hospital Expansion Project, which aims to deliver on the vision for Mackay Hospital and Health Service (MHHS) to provide quality healthcare to the Mackay region. The new facility will increase the capacity of the Mackay Base Hospital by 128 beds, relocating Maternity, Birth Suites, Neonatal, and Paediatric wards, and adding new medical wards to service growing demand.
You will join a high-performing, collaborative, accountable, respectful, and motivated team. This team partners with Queensland Health and contractors to build the new facility and undertake the operational commissioning of the Mackay Hospital Expansion Project and associated hospital projects. The skills you bring will enable the successful implementation of Change Management in a project environment.
About the Team
The Mackay Hospital Expansion Project (MHEP) will deliver the expansion of Mackay Base Hospital, adding 128 beds for the community. The project's objective is to improve the patient experience and provide quality healthcare outcomes for the Mackay region.
The MHEP was a key deliverable of the Queensland Government Health and Hospitals Plan Capacity Expansion Program announced in 2022-23. Mackay Hospital and Health Service supports this project delivery in partnership with Health Infrastructure Queensland, a division of Queensland Health.
The expansion project will deliver a new wing adjacent to the existing hospital building. Health services included in the build are the Women's Health Unit with new birthing suites and maternity ward, Special Care Nursery, Child and Adolescent Unit, new medical wards, and the Ronald McDonald Family Room. It will also provide frontline hospital workers with the facilities needed to meet the rising demand for healthcare in the region, ensuring Mackay residents have access to a range of health services closer to home. Other projects as required.
