Australian Technical College Western Australia is a prominent Registered Training Organisation in Western Australia, offering vocational education and training from Certificate IV to Graduate Diploma levels. Our specialisations include Business, Leadership & Management, Hospitality, Community Services, Information Technology, Automotive Technology, and Civil Construction Design. Our Perth CBD campus provides convenient access to public transport and amenities.

Due to ongoing expansion, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team at our Perth Campus.

Position: Trainer & Assessor Work Type: Full-time Location: Perth WA Work Arrangement: Onsite Scheduled Days of Work: Monday – Sunday, 9 am to 5 pm

Key Competencies:

  • At least hold the qualification level being delivered.
  • Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116).
  • Experience in training and assessment within the vocational education sector.
  • Experience and current industry knowledge in the community development sector.
  • Ability to demonstrate current industry knowledge and vocational competence.
  • Demonstrated understanding of RTO Standards and other relevant regulations.
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
  • Well-developed planning and organisation skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training and conduct assessments in accordance with the requirements of the units of competency within the relevant qualification and training package.
  • Utilise various delivery modes, including work-based training.
  • Apply a range of learning methodologies in training delivery.
  • Support, mentor, and coach learners to achieve their learning outcomes.
  • Plan and facilitate industry excursions and guest speaker sessions.
  • Participate in assessment and evidence validation sessions.
  • Ensure training and assessment practices adhere to the requirements of the relevant training package, principles of assessment, rules of evidence, and, where applicable, regulatory requirements.
  • Produce and maintain training and assessment records according to organisational guidelines and deadlines.
  • Adhere to organisational standards, guidelines, and policies and procedures.
  • Maintain vocational competence and industry currency.
  • Contribute to organisational growth.
