About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Checkout Operator to join the Campbells Nerang team on a casual basis. This customer-facing position is focused on delivering friendly and efficient checkout services, ensuring transaction accuracy and contributing to a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Operate the checkout register and process transactions with accuracy.
• Provide excellent customer service and address customer queries.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the checkout area.
• Handle cash, EFTPOS, and other payment methods securely.
• Assist with bagging and packing customer purchases.
• Monitor stock levels at the checkout and replenish as necessary.
• Support the wider store team with general duties when required.
• Adhere to all safety and operational procedures.

Candidate Profile:

• Experience in retail or customer service is advantageous, with checkout/cashier experience preferred.
• Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused demeanour.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Adaptable, flexible, and self-motivated.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Keen attention to detail and a proactive approach.
• Availability for flexible shifts, including weekends.
