Chemistry Teacher - Senior School

Scotch College is seeking a Chemistry Teacher to join our Senior School Science team. This is a permanent, full-time, onsite position based in Swanbourne. The role is expected to commence in Term 4, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.

We are looking for outstanding practitioners in their science disciplines who can engage students, support strong academic outcomes, and contribute positively to a collaborative and motivated faculty. Teachers committed to pastoral care, inclusive practice, and active involvement in the College's co-curricular programme are valued. The successful candidate will:

• Have extensive experience teaching Chemistry at ATAR (Year 11 or 12) level.
• Possess experience teaching science across Years 7-12.
• Demonstrate a high level of WA curriculum knowledge and the ability to impart this effectively to students.
• Utilise competent digital technology skills to enhance teaching and learning.
• Create an environment of active and genuine learning.
• Exhibit exceptional communication, presentation, and teamwork skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Apply exceptional pedagogical principles in the classroom, including the use of ICT skills, and creative and critical thinking tools.
• Be willing to contribute to our extensive programme of co-curricular activities.

Experience teaching the IB Diploma would be desirable, but not essential. However, an openness to undertake professional learning in the IBDP is essential.
