For commencement at the start of Term 3, St Francis Xavier College is seeking a Vocational Major (VM) teacher for its Beaconsfield campus. This fixed-term, part-time (0.80 FTE) position is for the remainder of the 2026 school year and requires the ability to teach Years 10-12 VM Numeracy, Personal Development Skills, and Religious Education.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Ability to follow Child Safety requirements, including creating a child-safe culture and identifying and responding to abuse using the PROTECT framework.
• Ability to contribute to the Catholic identity of the College and promote and uphold it through word and action.
• Ability to teach Religious Education.
• Ability to design and facilitate a highly differentiated learning program for students.
• Ability to implement the Positive Learning Partnerships Program.
• Ability to support and realise the positive education culture of the College.
• Potential for future leadership.
• Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) full registration.
• Accreditation to teach in a Catholic school, or a willingness to undertake accreditation.
• Demonstrated understanding and experience of the learning and teaching pedagogy associated with the Victorian Curriculum.
• Ability to deepen the work they lead and connect it to the College Game Plan and Playbook.
• Ability to embrace and demonstrate the College values of respect, curiosity, gratitude, and hope through word and action.
