Client Service Specialist - Ipswich

Hearing Australia is seeking a Client Service Specialist for a permanent, part-time role based onsite in Ipswich. This position involves approximately 25 hours per week and may occasionally require support for the Park Ridge hearing centre.

The role offers the opportunity to gain skills with Australia's largest provider of government-funded hearing care, contributing to delivering the latest best practice services to those in need. You will be part of an organisation dedicated to supporting and empowering individuals through hearing health.

An initial two-week full-time training period (Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm) will be required for mandatory training and onboarding.

Your Role:

As a Client Service Specialist, you will:

  • Greet clients and manage counter and telephone enquiries.
  • Provide reception cover and undertake general administration, including booking appointments, processing claims, data entry, and preparing monthly reports.
  • Engage with a diverse client base, including children and adults, some with complex needs, and clients from multicultural, Aboriginal, and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds.
  • Perform minor hearing aid repairs and troubleshooting.
  • Support Clinicians by proactively identifying client needs, offering professional advice, and demonstrating hearing aid usage.

  • Experience as a proactive problem-solver with a willingness to accept responsibility and take ownership of your work.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer literacy.
  • Some exposure or working knowledge of mobile technology (Apple and/or Android applications).
  • A desire to work within an organisation that contributes to the greater good and provides genuinely rewarding work, making a difference to clients and their families.
