The Department of Families, Fairness & Housing seeks a Client Support Officer to serve as the initial point of contact for individuals engaging with The Orange Door's services. Within the Hub Support Team, this role involves responding to enquiries via face-to-face interactions, electronic communication, and telephone. The Client Support Officer will offer prompt and relevant advice and facilitate connections to appropriate services. Close collaboration with The Orange Door workforce is essential to address client needs upon first contact and to deliver personalised responses to enquiries.
Success in this position is underpinned by the capacity to respond effectively and inclusively to clients accessing Hub services, and to demonstrate honesty and integrity in all professional dealings.
Accountabilities:
- Provide a clear explanation of the services offered by The Orange Door, along with timely and current information, in response to telephone, email, and face-to-face enquiries.
- Utilise advanced interpersonal communication skills when addressing diverse client needs, showing sensitivity to variations in behavioural presentation and indicators of risk and aggression.
