MacDonnell Regional Council (MRC) is seeking a Coordinator - Children's Services for a fixed-term full-time role until 30th June 2027, with the potential for extension. This position is based in Alice Springs and involves regular travel to remote communities.

The Role: This role offers a competitive salary starting at $98,883.00 per annum, with 12% employer superannuation contributions. You will benefit from 6 weeks of annual leave with 17.5% leave loading, promoting work-life balance. The position is based in multiple locations within the MacDonnell Regional Council area. Approximately 75% of the work time will require travel to and work in remote communities other than the base location, including overnight stays. A relocation allowance may be provided for the right applicant.
Who We're Looking For: We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator who thrives in a dynamic environment. You should enjoy leading and supporting a team of educators and community staff, and have experience in supporting, training, and developing the capacity of remote community staff. The ability to work autonomously and independently is also important.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Diploma or equivalent experience in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- At least 3 years' experience working in Early Childhood, with experience in leadership roles.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally and linguistically diverse environment.
- A current First Aid Certificate in an Education and Care setting, including CPR, anaphylaxis, and asthma components.
- A current Australian Driver's License and the ability to complete 4WD training.
- An NT Working with Children (Ochre) Card, or the ability to obtain one.
- Satisfactory completion of a Criminal History Check.
