Waverley Forklifts is an Australian-owned business with a presence across WA, VIC, NSW, QLD, SA, and NT. For over 50 years, we have established ourselves as a significant independent forklift and transport company, specialising in forklift rentals, equipment servicing, equipment sales, and machinery transport.

We are seeking a Customer Service Administrator to join our Canning Vale team. This role presents a valuable opportunity for individuals with a background in retail, hospitality, reception, or customer service who are keen to develop a long-term career within a supportive business. You will become part of a dedicated branch team where your contributions are valued, supported by the stability, training, and career progression offered by a national organisation.

What is offered:

  • A permanent, full-time position, Monday to Friday.
  • Competitive salary.
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Full training provided; industry experience is not required.
  • A varied role with genuine day-to-day diversity.
  • A progressive company culture grounded in family values.
  • Ongoing career development opportunities within a national organisation.
  • Excellent working conditions at our Canning Vale branch.
  • Hands-on experience with Baseplan, a leading operating system in the rental and equipment sector.

The Role As the Customer Service Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Service team. Your responsibilities will encompass supporting both our Workshop and Field Service operations, alongside delivering exceptional service to our customers and technicians.

Working closely with the Branch Manager, your duties will include:

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for customers and technicians, managing inquiries, bookings, and service scheduling.
  • Creating and managing service jobs and purchase orders using our operating system (full training will be provided).
  • Assisting with the coordination of Field Service Technicians and subcontractors.
  • Contacting customers to arrange upcoming servicing and schedule appointments.
  • Maintaining the Service Agreements database and assisting with quotation preparation.
  • Processing supplier invoices and liaising with suppliers regarding pricing.
  • Preparing reports for customers and management.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring service documentation is current.
  • Assisting with general administration and business improvement initiatives as needed.

The Ideal Candidate We prioritise attitude over prior experience. If you have cultivated strong customer service skills in retail, hospitality, reception, or another customer-facing role, we encourage you to apply. We are committed to training you in our systems, our industry, and the technical aspects of the role. Our primary focus is on finding someone who enjoys assisting others, takes pride in their work, and is motivated to build a long-term career.

You should possess:

  • A genuine commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
  • A friendly and confident telephone manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach and a willingness to learn.
  • Confidence in using computers and the capacity to learn new systems.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities within a busy team setting.
  • Administration experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience in industrial equipment, transport, or service industries would be an advantage, though not a requirement.
