Customer Service Specialist BlueScope Gladstone Full-time, Onsite

BlueScope Distribution is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join its team in Gladstone. This division provides comprehensive product, processing, and service solutions for steel and aluminium, supporting diverse industries and ensuring projects are delivered on time and to specification.

As a Customer Service Specialist, you will be a primary point of contact for sales and service inquiries, ensuring exceptional customer interactions. Your responsibilities will include processing new orders and quotations, offering product and pricing advice, and managing daily inquiries.

What You Will Do: As a member of the sales team, you will:

  • Engage with customers via phone and email to manage quotations and queries.
  • Follow up on quotations and inquiries to convert them into sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as marketing, warehouse, and sales to meet customer expectations, including product specifications, special packaging, and delivery timelines.
  • Cultivate and expand customer relationships to identify new business and sales potential.
  • Continuously seek improvements in customer experience and the overall value proposition.

  • Experience in a customer service or sales environment.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence in resolving issues effectively and efficiently.

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and a willingness to undertake relevant training.
