TROPIC PETROLEUM in Townsville is seeking a Customer Service & Takeaway Attendant. This casual role offers flexibility while focusing on delivering excellent service. You will be the primary point of contact for customers, managing interactions and takeaway orders professionally and enthusiastically, aiming to ensure customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business. Positions are available at Ampol Garbutt, Ampol Pimlico, and Ampol Roseneath.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and attend to their needs promptly and courteously.
• Process takeaway orders accurately and efficiently, meeting customer specifications.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately, maintaining proper record-keeping.
• Prepare and package takeaway items to high standards.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, services, and menu options.
• Maintain a clean and organised service area and front counter.
• Restock supplies and ensure product availability throughout shifts.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including food handling procedures where applicable.
• Assist with stock rotation and identify replenishment needs.
• Build positive customer relationships and suggest products or services to enhance their experience.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in customer service, retail, or hospitality environments is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse customers.
• A friendly, positive attitude and genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Reliability and punctuality with a flexible approach to casual shift work.
• Basic numeracy skills and comfort handling cash and electronic payments.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to company procedures and systems.
• Good personal presentation and attention to hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Experience with takeaway or food service operations would be a significant advantage.
