Empire Office Furniture is seeking a physically fit and energetic individual to join our team as a Delivery Offsider / Assembler in Townsville. This full-time, onsite role involves building, delivering, and installing office furniture and workstations for a diverse clientele including businesses, government entities, and domestic customers.

Responsibilities:

• Verify that all goods for labelling, collection, or delivery correspond with product details on invoices and delivery dockets.
• Assist with unloading weekly stock from our distribution warehouse.
• Collaborate with the despatch team to maintain an organised and clean workspace under the supervision of the despatch supervisor.
• Engage with staff, customers, and suppliers in a safe and professional manner, upholding our commitment to exceeding customer needs and requirements.
• Deliver, assemble, and install office furniture, including workstation fit-outs.
• Safely receive, check, load, unload, and deliver goods.
• Operate company vehicles responsibly.
• Interact with staff, customers, and suppliers in a friendly, professional manner reflecting our commitment to quality service.
• Undertake warehouse duties such as stock checks, put-away, and general housekeeping tasks.

What we're looking for:

• Physical Fitness: The ability to lift and move heavy items safely is essential, as manual handling is a key part of the role.
• Hands-On Skills: Experience with power tools and the capacity to learn the assembly of flat-pack and component-based furniture.
• General Vehicle Maintenance: Taking pride in the vehicle, including adherence to start-up procedures.
• Attention to Detail: The ability to interpret drawings and plans with guidance from management is necessary, as we take pride in our work.
• Dispatch and Consigning of Orders: The capability to deliver products in a 'ready to use' condition and adhere to any special delivery instructions.
• Customer Service Skills: A friendly attitude is key, as you will represent our company when interacting with customers.
