Stores Coordinator | Workshop Storeperson
Company: 7D Team Pty Ltd Location: Cockburn Central Work Type: Full-time Salary: $34 – $38 per hour On-site: Yes
This is a specialist pump engineering workshop, not a large-scale warehouse, where each component is significant. 7D Team designs, manufactures, and overhauls slurry pumps and wear components for the mining sector. The stores function is central to the workshop's operations, ensuring the timely availability of correct parts for every task. We are seeking an organised, reliable, and proactive individual who takes satisfaction in maintaining smooth operations and wishes to take responsibility for this vital area.
Reasons to Work With Us
- Flexible Hours: Your 38 hours per week can be scheduled to accommodate your life, for instance, around school drop-offs and pick-ups. Common schedules include 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility offered.
- Permanent, Full-Time Role: We are looking for a long-term team member, not a temporary placement.
- Positive Work Environment: We foster a respectful and cooperative team where mutual assistance and enjoyment of work are priorities.
- Training and Support: You will receive training on our systems and manufactured products. Forklift certification can be arranged if necessary. We are looking for someone with a foundational understanding of stores or warehousing who is keen to expand their skills.
- Ownership of Stores Function: We empower our staff to perform their roles effectively. If you enjoy enhancing systems and improving efficiency, you will have the autonomy to do so.
Your Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and record deliveries against purchase orders.
- Pick, pack, and dispatch parts to customers and sites, ensuring proper documentation and secure packaging.
- Maintain precise inventory records.
- Conduct stock counts and ensure the stores area is organised and safe.
- Coordinate priorities with the workshop and office teams.
- Operate a forklift for loading, unloading, and moving stock.
- Gain familiarity with all parts and observe their integration into pump builds on the workshop floor.
What We Are Looking For
- A current Australian driver’s licence is essential.
- Full working rights in Australia.
- Previous stores or warehouse experience is preferred. Experience in logistics, inventory, or a similar hands-on role will also be considered.
- Good organisational skills and basic computer literacy.
- Enthusiasm, energy, and a genuine interest in taking ownership.
- A forklift licence is a bonus; training will be provided to the right candidate.
- Ability to safely handle parts and materials up to 20 kg, with or without reasonable adjustments.
