Early Years Coordinator POR2
Xavier College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Coordinator to join the founding leadership team of its new Riverlea Park Campus (R–6), which is scheduled to open in January 2027.
This position is classified as POR2 and will commence in Term 4, 2026, for a fixed term of two years. The role includes a full-time, permanent teaching component, and should be considered in conjunction with the Teacher Position Information Document.
The Early Years Coordinator will provide leadership for Reception to Year 2, supporting the delivery of high-quality teaching, learning, and wellbeing programs designed to foster positive outcomes for the youngest students. This role involves close collaboration with leadership and teaching staff to coordinate literacy initiatives, student transitions, curriculum implementation, and family engagement.
The successful applicant will be a collaborative and innovative educator capable of mentoring colleagues, promoting evidence-informed practice, and contributing to continuous improvement. They will be expected to build strong relationships across the College community and support the academic, social, and emotional development of young learners.
As the Early Years Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting high-quality teaching and learning practices across Reception to Year 2.
- Coordinating and supporting the implementation of literacy, curriculum, and assessment practices.
- Building positive and collaborative relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Mentoring and supporting teachers through collaboration, coaching, and professional learning opportunities.
- Effectively managing multiple priorities, initiatives, and operational requirements within a dynamic school environment.
- Fostering student wellbeing, inclusive education, and a culture of continuous improvement.
