Wagga Wagga City Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Executive Assistant to offer high-level support to the Director Planning & Regulatory Services. This is an opportunity for an organised professional who thrives in a dynamic work environment where each day presents new challenges. You will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient operation of the Directorate through confidential executive support, coordination of governance processes, and fostering positive relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
This full-time, onsite position offers a commencing salary of $3,059.14 gross per fortnight, with the potential to progress to $3,670.97 gross per fortnight, plus superannuation. Your New Role: As the Executive Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a complex calendar, correspondence, and workflow.
- Preparing reports, presentations, briefing papers, and other high-quality documentation.
- Coordinating Council reports, business papers, and governance deadlines.
- Organising meetings, workshops, and events, including agendas and minutes.
- Supporting financial and administrative processes such as travel arrangements and reconciliations.
- Providing exceptional customer service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Assisting with projects and mentoring business support staff as required.
What You Will Need to Succeed:
- Relevant qualifications in business administration.
- Experience in an Executive Assistant or senior administrative support role.
- Exceptional organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and confidence working across a range of business systems.
- A high level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with internal and external stakeholders.
