Job Description

Executive Assistant, Wealth

AMP Services Sydney NSW Full-time, Onsite

AMP is a well-known name in Australia and New Zealand. As society evolves, so does AMP, now operating as a nimbler business with new leadership and strategic direction. These are dynamic times, offering significant opportunities for individuals with forward-thinking ideas to help redefine financial services and build a more positive and impactful future from our established legacy.

This role is instrumental in supporting three senior leaders – the Director, Growth & Wealth Distribution; Director, Retirement; and General Manager, Product & Pricing – allowing them to concentrate on strategic objectives. You will function as a trusted partner, providing proactive, high-quality executive support and resolving operational obstacles to boost productivity and organisational efficiency.

Your Impact in this Role:

  • Provide high-level executive support, including proactive management of complex and dynamic calendars aligned with business priorities.
  • Serve as a central coordination point for communications, managing inboxes, prioritising, and escalating critical matters.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and sound judgement.
  • Coordinate meetings, leadership forums, and team events with meticulous attention to detail and cost-effectiveness.
  • Establish and maintain effective meeting cadences to support governance and team alignment.
  • Arrange domestic and international travel in accordance with policy and preferred suppliers.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring seamless stakeholder coordination.
  • Maintain organisational records, communication lists, and team structures.
  • Manage expenses and AMEX reconciliation with accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and executive materials as needed.
  • Utilise Microsoft 365 and emerging AI tools to enhance workflows and efficiency.

What You Will Contribute:

  • Experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, preferably within financial services or a customer-focused business.
  • An understanding of wealth management or financial planning processes is preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance environments in financial services.
  • Strong judgement, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior leaders.
  • The ability to work proactively in a dynamic, evolving environment.
  • A flexible, team-oriented mindset and a willingness to provide support beyond core responsibilities.

You will adapt with ease between routine tasks and ambiguous situations, demonstrating commitment, grit, and a growth mindset. Given the lean operational structure, you will be expected to contribute across various areas, offering close proximity to action and executive decisions. This environment can be quite liberating for individuals who are confident in their abilities.

Your innovative ideas will be welcomed here, as AMP is committed to change and encourages speaking up and trying new approaches. The organisation embraces diversity in working styles and personal identities, fostering an inclusive and flexible environment where health and wellbeing are prioritised. You will find opportunities to connect, feel valued, and engage in meaningful work, supported by leaders invested in your success. AMP offers year-round opportunities for community engagement and provides challenges that will stretch your capabilities and amplify your impact.

AMP is dedicated to fostering inclusion, diversity, and a sense of belonging, which drives creativity, innovation, and enhances decision-making and performance. This approach leads to a more engaged workplace and stronger customer connections.

When you apply, please advise how AMP can support you.
