Federation TAFE opportunities

Federation University Australia is seeking to fill multiple targeted positions within Federation TAFE, in accordance with the University’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples’ Workforce Strategy, Policy and Procedure, and under Special Measures Section 12 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010. You will contribute to Federation TAFE’s team, delivering a range of quality education and training programs that align with state and national priorities and address the training needs of individuals and industry. Key Duties may vary across roles, but core responsibilities include:

• Planning, preparing, delivering, and assessing training programs according to training packages and/or course requirements.
• Utilising culturally appropriate teaching methods and materials for learner engagement.
• Providing pre-course advice, participating in student selection and induction, and conducting student entry level assessments.
• Planning, preparing, maintaining, coordinating, and participating in the evaluation of student teaching and learning resources.

Candidate Requirements:

• A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or a diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education.
• Possession of a vocational qualification relevant to the trade, or equivalent extensive industry experience on Country.
• Ability to effectively use online learning platforms and technologies.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate and provide guidance and mentoring.

• Location: Barwon Southwest and Grampians Region
• Work Type: Full-time, continuing appointment
• Salary: L1.1 to L3.4 - $83,764 to $118,763 per year, plus up to 14% superannuation.

• Location: Ballarat and Horsham Campus
• Work Type: Casual appointments
• Rates of pay will vary according to qualifications held and the nature of the work undertaken.
