First Aid Trainer – Canberra (Casual)
Real Response is seeking a First Aid Trainer for a casual, onsite role in Canberra ACT.
Bring your emergency experience to life, empower others, elevate training, and help save lives when it matters most. This role offers opportunities for travel within Canberra and optional interstate engagements.
At Real Response, we train individuals for emergencies that do not follow a script. We create high-intensity, real-world training environments where participants learn to remain calm and make life-saving decisions. Our trainers are current or former emergency professionals with firsthand knowledge that real incidents occur outside of tidy classrooms and that preparation is vital.
As a Trainer, Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Delivering engaging, high-quality, simulation-based first aid courses to a variety of organisations.
- Adapting delivery style for different client groups, environments, and locations.
- Travelling to client sites around Canberra, with optional interstate opportunities.
- Receiving full training, equipment, and ongoing support from our national training team.
- Accessing opportunities to expand into electrical rescue, fire, tactical, or mental health training, if relevant experience applies.
You Will Ideally Have:
- Experience as a paramedic, emergency nurse, fire EMR, military medic, or in a similar emergency response role.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- A professional presence and the ability to engage diverse groups.
- A current Police Check and Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain them.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40110 / TAE40116 / TAE40122), or evidence of enrolment in TAE40122, or willingness to undertake this prior to employment.
- Note: Depending on your skills, there are opportunities to deliver specialist courses that do not require a TAE Certificate.
- A driver's licence and vehicle to travel to course locations.
Why Join Us:
- Make a real impact by helping people prepare for real-world emergencies.
- Work with an energised team that values collaboration and professional growth.
- Benefit from flexibility with opportunities for casual and permanent roles. This role is perfect for those continuing in operational roles or shift work.
- Be part of an organisation redefining how first aid is taught, understood, and applied.
